Intended Sole Source Award: We are asking AT&T / SBC to consolidate / re-engineer circuits they are already providing to us, to provide two path's from 2 different AT&T / SBC Telco Central Offices insuring redundancy for existing voice / data circuit's integrity and operation in case of an AT&T / SBC Telco Central office failure or cut cable to any one of the VA facilities listed below. WORK STATEMENT NTX-VISN Office: 549-06-4-9290-0150 Record ID#: 20287 Consolidate / re-engineer local AT&T local loop demarcation to provide SONet dual path connectivity for existing circuits at the facility listed below: VISN 17 Office, 2301 East Lamar Blvd., Arlington, TX. 76006 This consolidation / re-engineering of the local AT&T demarc local loop connections with SONet dual path / dual CO (Telco Central Office) connectivity for existing circuits will provide two path's from 2 different Telco Central Offices insuring redundancy for existing voice / data circuit's integrity and operation in case of a Telco Central office failure or cut cable leading to the VISN 17 Office. The VISN 17 Office supports the VISN Microsoft Exchange e-mail system, the VISN teleconferencing bridge, and other critical VISN wide systems.
