Description
The Southern AZ VA Health Care System, Clinical Care Support, Prosthetics Services, has a requirement for a Biosculptor Bioscanner containing the items below. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the ONLY solicitation; a written solicitation will NOT be issued. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate their ability to comply with the below requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within 7 days after date of public action of the synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-12. The associated NAICS code 339112, Size Standard 500 employees. The Government contemplates delivery November 20, 2006 FOB origin. The provision at 52.212-1 applies to this acquisition. There are no evaluation criteria as this procurement is being conducted as a sole source, only one source is able to meet the requirement. Item 1 ? 1 ea, BioSculptor BioScanner (non-contract) which includes: Hardware and Software for non-contact imaging of prosthetic and orthotic models with the BioScanner. The BioScanner is a dual-camera laser line scanning solution that utilizes electromagnetic tracking technology. This model includes the AAOP export function. BioSculptor Shape Manipulation Software for Prosthetics and Orthotics: The programs and data files to be licensed to customer under BIOSCULPTOR?s copyrights and trade secrets and under any patents obtained. The standard version is designed to operate under Microsoft Windows 9x. Warranty: One year on all parts. After that time, service agreements are available. BioSculptor Delivery Course: Two participants in the use of the BioSculptor System. Item 2- 1 ea, Dell Latitude D820 laptop or equivalent set up and tested for Items 1 Item 3- 1 jb, on site training Biosculptor Corporation, 2480 W. 82nd St, Suite 8, Hialeah, FL 33016-2726 is believed to be the only provider of this type of prosthetic system with these specifications and capabilities.
