- This is a notice of intent to award a sole source, firm fixed price contract to Motorola, Inc., 7031 Columbia Gateway Dr., 3rd FL, Columbia, MD 21046-2289: The sole source procurement of Motorola upgrade of software and radio keyer devices to comply with DoD mandated migration of wireless LMR equipment from DES to AES. Purchase to include the following: Upgrade existing KVL 3000 Keyers with upgrade card, Upgrade existing KVL 3000 Keyers with AES Encryption, Installation Alignment Shipping, Purchase of new KVL 3000 Plus Hardware, Purchase of new KVL 3000 Astro 25 Mode, Purchase of new KVL 3000 ASN Mode, Purchase of new KVL 3000 AES Encryption Software, Purchase of Impress Charger with Insert, Shipment and upgrade of XTS 3000 with software: T6797A, CA00182AE and FTC, Shipment and upgrade of XTS 3000 with software: Q806, NNTN4432A and FTC, Shipment and upgrade of XTS 3000 with software: CA00182AE and FTC for delivery to 509th Communications Squadron, 660 920 12th Street, Bldg 53, Rm 36, Whiteman AFB, MO 65305. This manufacturers equipment and software is the only known item that will fill the governments need. This acquisition will be accomplished using commercial item procedures in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 and in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 for Other Than Full and Open Competition. This notice is not a request for offers. A determination not to compete this proposed procurement based on response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
