Description
The following are the questions submitted by the cutoff date of Fri, 8 Sept 06 and the answers. All other terms and conditions remain the same. 1. What size ingitor wires and what are the specifications on them? The size of the ignitor wires shall be based on the load and distance to meet the specification to support the ignitors. Cable shall meet MIL-C-3702 (class B) requirements. No equivalencies accepted. 2. What are the specs on the butt splices? The need for ?butt splices? is unknown at this time. It is assumed that the splices refer to the ignitors. 3. Are the ignitor wire sized properly due to the lengths and resizing all of the burners and ignitors? Contractor is to determine the correct size and length for burners and ignitors. 4. Are the cable sleeves sized properly for the ignitor wires? Contractor is to determine the appropriate size of cable sleeves for the ignitor wires. 5. Were the existing transformer panels sized right to handle the ignition loads or do they need to be recalculated and engineered? Contractor shall determine if the existing transformers are appropriate for use (and substantiate findings). Ignition loads may need to be recalculated and engineered based on contractor transformer load calcs. Contractors can reference TO 35E1-2-13-1 at the following link for design specifications: http://www.robins.af.mil/logistics/LGEDA/documents/TechOrds/35E1-2-13-1.pdf All quotes must be sent to Celeste Cappomagi at : Fax 805-606-5867; celeste.cappomagi@vandenberg.af.mil; 30 CONS Attn: Celeste Cappomagi Bldg 7015 Sec 2C Vandenberg AFB CA 93437.
