Description
THIS IS A SOLE SOURCE SYNOPSISThe 45th Contracting Squadron has a sole source requirement to maintain currencies, overhaul, and conduct hydrostatic testing on high altitude parachuting operations using the Airox VIII Oxygen System. The entire system consists of an oxygen console (NSN: 1660-01-370-8451) which feeds up to six portable oxygen bottles (NSN: 1660-01-138-8623) via six individual hoses. Additionally, training for assigned personnel is required for maintaining the equipment. This is a Sole Source with Carleton Technologies IAW FAR 6.302-1. Carleton Technologies is the manufacturer of the equipment is the only source capable of fulfilling the government?s requirement. The Airox VIII Oxygen System is a critical life support equipment item which is required by Air Force. Carleton Technologies has the experience and expertise to meet or exceed the customer requirements for maintenance, overhaul, and training. Carleton Technologies is a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Certified Repair Station. It is in the best interest of aircrew members to have their life support system serviced by the equipment?s manufacturer with FAA certification. After extensive market research no other contractor was identified to meet these requirements. No solicitation document exists at this time. This item/service utilizes Standard Industrial Code (SIC) of 3491 with a business size of 500 and North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 332911. Interested firms may identify their capability to respond to this requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, the government will consider any responses from capable sources received within 10 days after date of publication of this synopsis. 45 CONS/LGCB has determined that Carleton Technologies is the only source capable of providing this requirement.
