- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) The purchase request number is F3M3CE6079A100 and the solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ) (iii) This solicitation document incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 05-12. (iv) This solicitation is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. The associated NAICS code is 238220, and the small business size standard is $13,000,000. (v) This requirement consists of one line item: 0001) Install 64 Government Furnished Control Valves, Bldg 308. Quantity: 1 Unit of Measure: Lot (vi) Install 64 Government Furnished Control Valves IAW Statement of Work dated 4 September 2006 and drawing. Drawing is not available electronically. A copy can be requested by phone or email. (vii) The performance period is 40 days including the delivery of materials. The contractor certifies that it can meet the delivery date by submitting a quotation. FOB shall be destination, Bldg 308 Pope AFB, North Carolina. Shipping costs should be included in the unit price. (viii) The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors ? Commercial, applies to this solicitation. (ix) The provision at 52.212-2, Evaluation ? Commercial Items, applies to this solicitation. The quotes will be evaluated on price and technical capability. STATEMENTS OF WORK INSTALL 64-GOVERNMENT FURNISHED CONTROL VALVES DATE: 4 September 2006 POC: Ulett M. Benson (910) 394-5699 SCOPE: The purpose of this project is to hire a contractor to replace the existing 62-control valves with 62-government furnished units in building 308. 1. The contractor will remove and dispose of the existing valves and unused material. 2. Install 62-government furnished Invensys automatic temperature control valves and Invensys proportional actuators to include all wiring, piping and insulation. 3. The attached schedule shows the size, type, location of each valve and instructions for installation. 4. The contractor will confirm proper installation of each valve. WORKMANSHIP: All work must conform to all local, state and federal codes and requirements that are common to this trade. PERFORMANCE TIME: This job should be completed in 40-days from award date of contract to include the delivery of materials. WORKSITE: The contractor will be responsible for returning the work site and surrounding area to the condition in which they were found. WARRANTY: All work and contractor furnished materials will be warranted for a period of one year; contractor will not responsible for government furnished materials.
