Description

The U.S. Army Contracting Agency, Southern Region Contracting Center  West, Fort Sam Houston, Texas, has a requirement for scanning and conversion of paper documents and files to electronic images/files (32 bit), for the period of 1 October 2006 to 30 September 2007, with four one-year option periods. This requirement will be a 100 percent Small Business Set Aside for the Bexar County, Texas, area only. The contractor must pick up boxes of files from Fort Sam Houston, Texas, and take them to its fa cility for scanning. Files created must be totally integrated and 100 percent compatible with the US Army Medical Command (USAMEDCOM), Quality Management Directorates electronic images/files presently stored in CD-ROMs and hard drive in the USAMEDCOM med ical malpractice office. Documents are to be scanned in standard PDF file format at 200 dpi to meet the standards established by ANSI and State of Texas Bill 1283 for imaging records. All case files will be indexed as individual files according to USAMED COM's requirements for retrieval. The funding for this requirement is subject to the availability of funds and is contingent upon Congress enacting Fiscal Year 2007 Appropriations. The solicitation will be advertised and available for bidding on the Army Single Face Industry acquisition website: http://acquisition.army.mil/asfi on or about 13 September 2006.
