- (i)This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity intends to award a sole source contract to Synthes Corporation, 1690 Russell Road, Paoli, PA 19301-1262 the the following items: Surgical Orthopedic Implants and components to fill existing sets. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are n ot being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued (oral offers will not be accepted). Offerors responding to this notice must be FDA approved for the manufacture, sale and distribution of these products. Offerors must be authorized distrib utors of Synthes products. Responses received from other responsible businesses prior to 11:00 am Eastern Standard Time on 25 September 2006, will be evaluated.(ii)The Solicitation Number is W81XWH-06-T-0480.
