The Solicitation applicable to this announcement will be available at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. on or about September 26, 2006 with a bid opening date of aproximately 30 days following issuance. PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED AND TELEPHONE REQUEST OR FAX REQUEST FOR THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Description: Rehabilitation of Vessels Liberty IV & II, Statue of Liberty National Monument, Ellis Island New York, New York. Solicitation Number I1940060834. All work under this contract must be performed in the United States Coast Guard, Sector New York, district and shall be performed at the contractors' facilities.The Contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, materials, tools, equipment and all incidental and related work to accomplish all work specified in the solicitation's "Scope of Work" Item 1. Liberty IV is approximately 68 feet in length and weighs 65 tons, work required includes: 1. Dry dock vessel. 2. Prepare, prime and paint interior and exterior surfaces. 3. Perform specific maintaince identfied in the "Scope of Work". Item 2. Liberty II is approximately 65 feet in length and weighs 60 tons, work required includes: 1. Dry dock vessel. 2. Prepare, prime and paint interior and exterior surfaces. 3. Fendering 4. Metalwork. 5. Major overhaul of main engine (6-71 Detroit Diesel) with genuine Detroit Diesel parts. The National Park Service anticipates entering into a firm fixed-price contract as a result of the solicitation and is open to all concerns on an unrestricted basis regardless of size. The NAICS code for this project is 336611 with a small business size standard of 1000 employees. The contract performance period is Twenty-One (21) days for Liberty IV and Sixty (60) days for Liberty II. In accordance with FAR Section 36.204, the estimated price range for this project consisting of all work on both Liberty IV and Liberty II is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. Contractors are urged to attend a site visit which will be held on Wednesday, September 27, 2006 between the hours of 10:00AM and 12:00Noon at Liberty State Park, Jersey City, New Jersey. Contractors must notify The National Park Sevice 24 hours prior to the site visit and include: name of all attendees; company name; vehicle and license plate.
