Description

The National Naval Medical Center, (NNMC), Acquisition Mgmt. Dept., on behalf of the Armed Service Blood Bank Ctr. intends to award a sole source procurement to Fresenius Hemocare for HemoLight plus; CompoGuard Data II (Automated Mixing Scale) & accessories (various quantities) NNMC requires blood products (red blood cells) to be properly suitable for patients that meet the FDA, JCAHO and AABB in order for the distribution of blood products to NNMC. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate w/only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive bids. A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement based on responses to this notice is soley within the discretion of the Government. Award will be made using SAP. "See Note 22"
