- Description
- This requirement is for CVN Aircraft Elevator Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) Control Assemblies. Assemblies will require Engineering Drawings, First Article Inspection Procedures, First Article Unit, and Production Units. This procurement will be competed as unrestricted with a partial sole source for certain components to Rockwell Automation, Cleveland, OH, per FAR 6.302. Sole source is due to proprietary rights with existing systems. The Government requires an FOB Destination to PSNS-Bremerton, WA; NNSY-Norfolk, VA; and SRF-Yokosuka Japan. This contract is solicited for a base year, with four one-year options as a firm, fixed price indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity, supply type contract. The base year of performance is expected to begin at time of award. This commercial acquisition will be solicited using the procedures of FAR Part 12 and 15. Copies of MIL/FED specs, QPL, may be obtained from the ASSIST database on the Internet at http://assist.daps.dla.mil/online/start/. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal or quotation which shall be considered by FISCPS. This solicitation and any subsequent amendments will be posted to the NECO website: http://www.neco.navy.mil. Prospective offerors are responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation from this website and for frequently monitoring that site for any amendments. The Government is not responsible for any inability of the offeror to access the posted documents. No telephone or FAX requests will be accepted, and no hard-copy solicitation/amendment will be mailed or Faxed. Electronic submission of proposals/quotes is not available at this time. It is anticipated that the RFP will be issued on or before 20 September 2006.
