Description
The Regional Contracting Department, Fleet and Industrial Supply Center (FISC), Pearl Harbor, Hawaii intends on negotiating a contract for the refurbishment of P-74 main generator as listed on the following noted line items. Please annotate Solicitation No. N00604-06-T-0651. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for the acquisition of commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this announcement. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; PROPOSALS ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION will not be issued. This procurement is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. The NAICS code and the small business size standard for this procurement is 333298 and 500 employees respectively. The FSC Code is J061. Award will be conducted under the provisions of FAR Part 12 ? Commercial Item and FAR 13.5 ? Simplified Acquisition Procedures. All prospective quoters are responsible for monitoring this site for the release of amendments (if any) or other information pertaining to this solicitation. All responsible sources may submit a quotation in response to this synopsis, which shall be considered. This synopsis/solicitation is being issued as a Request For Quotations (RFQ), for a Firm Fixed Price type contract incorporating provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisitions Circular 2005-12 and DFARS Change Notice 20060908. The Regional Contracting Department, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii intends to award a single, firm fixed price contract for: ITEM 0001: 1 JOB REWIND OF GE MODEL EN146554 250 VDC, 375KW GENERATOR. REWIND TO INCLUDE REWINDING OF ALL FIELD COILS, REWIND OF ARMATURE AND REFILL OF COMMUTATOR. VPI ALL WINDINGS USING CLASS H VONROLL ISOLA PERMAFIL 74041 RESIN. ENCAPSULATE FIELD WINDINGS USING DOLPH?S CC1094 CLASS H POLYESTER. RESURFACE, UNDERCUT, AND BEVEL COMMUTATOR AS NECESSARY. INSTALL NEW BEARINGS, HELWING CARBON PRODUCTS, INC. MODEL 10-501527-870-3-01 BRUSHES WITH ?C-TREATMENT?, AND NEW BRUSH SPRINGS. WORK TO INCLUDE LOAD TESE AT 25% LOAD TO DEVELOP COMMUTOR FILM. PROVIDE TO PEARL HARBOR NAVAL SHIPYARD AND INTERMEDIATE MAINTENANCE FACILITY (PHNSY&IMF) ALL IN-PROCESS DATA. CONTRACTOR TO PROVIDE COST FOR SHIPMENT FROM AND TO PEARL HARBOR, HAWAII. Contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration Database (CCR) to be eligible for Department of Defense Contract awards.
