Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial service(s) prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a Request for Quote (RFQ) and the solicitation number is M6700106Q0128. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered by the Agency, and may be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. This solicitation is 100% set-aside for all qualified small businesses. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-12 and DFARS Revision 20060808. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 238390 and the small business size standard is $13.0 MIL. The purpose of this solicitation is to procure the following commercial service, in support of Marine Corps Logistics Base, Albany, Georgia: the provisions of expeditious assembly, installation, and/or removal/relocation of modular/systems and case goods furniture, barracks furniture and equipment, from and to various locations within Marine Corps Logistics Base, Albany, GA; which shall include tenant activities, as requested. Locations may have multiple levels with no elevators. Typical items include modular furniture, partition panel, file cabinets, shelving, beds, chairs, and various types of cabinets. Most new items will require assembly straight from the carton. The Contractor shall immediately notify the Government representative of damaged items that are identified upon removal from the cartons or during the installation process. Installation attachments to walls, floors, and/or ceilings shall be the responsibility of the Contractor. The Contractor shall be responsible for all damages that may occur during installation due to the fault or negligence of his personnel. The Governme nt will be awarding a Requirements Contract, as such a delivery order will be issued at the end of each 30 day period for all calls placed during the month. The cost for broken and damaged items, including overhead and administrative expenses, will be deducted from the monthly payment due the Contractor. Once items are in place, the contractor shall be responsible for finish trim and/or leveling of work surfaces, if required. The Contractor shall be knowledgeable of the assembly requirements and procedures for the following various brands of modular /systems, case goods furniture, and barracks furniture (metal and wood) to include but not limited to the following: Knoll, Kruger International (KI), Haworth, Center Core, GF, UNICOR, JOFCO, HON, Paoli, Kimball, Dehler, DCI, Period, etc. The requirement is for the basic period of one year (01 October 2006 thru 30 September 2007) with 4 one-year option periods to be exercised at the discretion of the Government. The estimated! number of labor hours per year is 1000. The place of delivery, acceptance, and FOB Point is Albany, Georgia. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: technical capability, past performance and price. The following Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) provisions and clauses apply to this acquisition: FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offers. If an offeror has not completed the annual representations and certifications electronically at the ORCA we bsite, the offeror shall complete only paragraphs (b) through (i) of this provision. The Offeror is required to provide their Contractors DUNS Number and Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) code with their proposal. The CAGE code entered must be for that name and address provided by the Contractor.
