Description

This is a 100% total 8(a) set-aside acquisition. The National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute (NHLBI) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), seeks a Project Management Consultant to provide advice and guidance for a variety of major renovations and minor modifications to existing laboratory space and offices. The responsibilities of the successful contractor will include the planning and execution of construction projects in addition to providing expertise in (1) architectural engineering design of construction/renovation projects (2) monitoring of construction/renovations progress for compliance (3) monitoring of financial status of construction/renovation projects and (4) general facilities management especially in terms of optimal biomedical research and office configuration and space integration. Additional competencies will be to provide advice and guidance for a variety of renovations and construction projects underway or planned. Some of the project sites slated for renovations are the Laboratory of Cardiac Energetics, continuation of the renovations and minor modifications to laboratories on the 2nd, 6th and 8th floors of Building 10 at NIH. Specific tasks will be detailed within the solicitation’s Statement of Work (SOW). The anticipated award date is August, 2006. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 541611. The small business standard is $5,000,000.
