Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Requirements (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number F2R3C56103A00 is hereby issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP) using FAR Subpart 13.1 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This procurement is for the performance of annual inspections, recharging and maintenance of dry and wet chemical fire extinguishing systems, portable fire extinguishers, and 150 pound Halon flight line fire extinguishers in accordance with the attached statement of work. The period of performance for the outlined services is from 1 Oct 2006 to 30 Sep 2007. The contractor shall furnish all labor, tools, parts, materials, equipment and transportation necessary for performance. Laughlin AFB, Texas intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price contract for the following requirement: CLIN 0001: Annual inspections on1,150 each of, 5, 10, & 20 lbs. dry chemical extinguishers. CLIN 0002: Six (6) yr. Maintenance on 308 each, 5, 10, & 20 lbs. dry chemical extinguishers. CLIN 0003: Twelve(12) yr. Hydrostatic test on 220 each, 5, 10, 20 lbs. dry chemical extinguishers. CLIN 0004: Recharge maintenance on 225 each, 5 & 10 lbs. dry chemical extinguishers. CLIN 0005: Service recharge on 35 each, 20 lbs. dry chemical fire extinguishers. CLIN 0006: Annual inspections on 4 each, 120 lbs. dry chemical fire extinguishers. CLIN 0007: Recharge maintenance on 2 each, 120 lbs. dry chemical fire extinguishers. CLIN 0008: Annual maintenance on 160 each, 150 lbs. fire extinguishers. CLIN 0009: Six(6) yr. maintenance on 65 each, 150 lbs. Halon fire extinguishers. CLIN 0010 Twelve (12) yr. hydrostatic testing on 20 each, 150 lbs. Halon fire extinguishers. CLIN 0011: Recharge service on 45 each, 150 lbs. Halon fire extinguishers. CLIN 0012: Perform corrosion control by breakdown, sandblast, prime and repainting. Paint finish for 10 each, 150 lbs. Halon Fire Extinguisher units. Shall be painted Lime Yellow Dupont Polyurethane paint or equal lime yellow, color number 13670 of Fed Std. 595. Perform full service/recharge. CLIN 0013: Repair parts valued under $5.00 as a regular maintenance cost - provide repair parts valued over $5.00 on a Not To Exceed reimbursable basis as outlined in the statement of work. Funds are not currently available for this solicitation. Award of this contract as a result of this solicitation is contingent upon the availability of appropriated funds from which payment of this contract may be made. There shall be no legal purposes until funds are made available to the contracting officer. The contracting officer will confirm availability of funds in writing to the contractor upon award of the contract. This acquisition is 100% Small Business Set-Aside and is under North American Industry Classification System code 811310 with a small business size standard of $6.5M dollars. Please identify your business size in your response based upon this standard.
