Description
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A CONTRACT BASED ON A MANUFACTURER SPECIFIC PRODUCT. Using the procedures outlined under FAR Parts 8, 12, or 13 (as applicable), the US Army Inte lligence and Security Command intends to award a firm-fixed price contract to Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI) for renewal of software maintenance licenses. Multiple resellers are deemed available for initial license purchases, however, ESR I is deemed the only source for the subsequent maintenance associated with those licenses. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 541511 with a small business size standard of $23M. The supplies/services re quired are available from only one or a limited number of responsible sources under the authority of FAR 13.106(b)(1). Interested sources may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. Only All interested s ources must submit, with their proposal, written documentation The renewal period for the required maintenance is scheduled to commence on 28 Sep 2006 and end on 28 Sep 2007. All quotations received within 5 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed purchase order/contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
