Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division at Patuxent River, MD intends to negotiate and award a sole source contract modification to Wyle Laboratories Inc. on or about 1 November 2006 for operations, scheduling, engineering and aircrew services in support of the following aircraft and their associates systems: P3, S-3, A-37, T-2, T-34, T-37,T-39, T-44, E-2, E-6, HU-25, EC/KC/C-130, C-2, C-9, C-20, C-26, C-35, C-40, C-135, UC-12, B-707 and Naval Airships. This action is a 9-month extension to contract N00421-01-C-0086, for the period 1 January 2007 through 30 September 2007. It is estimated that instant requirement will entail approximately 81,000 man-hours of service effort. Key labor categories include pilots, flight test engineers, and senior engineering technicians. The authority permitting other than full and open competition is Title 10, U.S. Code, Section 2304(c) (1) as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.??See Numbered Note 22.????
