- Description
- The Nuclear Regulatory Commission is seeking to establish a customized training and developmental program for existing NRC staff involving facilitating meetings with external stakeholders. The NRC primarily conducts two types of meetings with external stakeholders: town hall meetings, where the NRC staff interacts with an audience comprised a variety of external groups and individuals to both convey information and receive input; and roundtable meetings, where the NRC staff engages a limited number of groups that might be most affected by an issue in a controlled discussion. A formal training and certification program will be designed to ensure that all NRC staff facilitators are fully prepared to handle their assigned meetings. The program would include one or more classes on facilitation skills specifically designed for the NRC regulatory environment, as well as other training elements, such as coaching, mentoring, and on-the-job training. The NRC expects to train approximately a dozen staff initially and additional new staff every few years, as needed. Refresher training for experienced facilitators will also be required at an appropriate interval. Interested offerors are requested to submit capability statements not exceeding 6 pages in length. As a minimum, please include the following information: a) Summary of facilitation skills and experience; b) Summary of experience developing and delivering customized training in facilitation skills; c) Summary of experience designing a training and certification program, including hands-on mentoring and coaching experience; d) Listing of clients where your company has provided similar training services; e) Company description including business size and ownership; f) Listing of available contracting mechanisms such as GSA Federal Supply Schedules, GWACS, etc.;g) Price lists and/or loaded hourly labor rates; and h) Sample course outline.
