Description

DESC: The U.S. Export Assistance Center (USEAC) intends to establish a purchase order for support services. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services prepared and processed in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this announcement. The period of performance is for a base period, estimated start date September 18, 2006 through August 31, 2007, with four option years. The work performed during the option period, if exercised, will be the same as that performed during the base period. The Contractor shall be required to provide marketing and research services in support of the Department of Commerce (DOC) Rural Export Initiative (REI) activities at the Cleveland, OH., US Export Assistance Center (USEAC). The Contractor shall be required to develop specialized and unique market research products that contribute to the rural value-added counseling performed by the USEAC. Specialized market research products are developed using current market research tools see (www.export.gov, and www.buyUSA.gov). Minimum Requirements: 1) Work with local non-profit and governmental partners in rural communities to identify and recruit clients for rural events. 2) Promotes and applies Commercial Service programs and services to meet client export market development objective. 3) Actively develop new clients, including non-traditional exporters such as minority and women owned US firms. 4) Ability to educate clients and partners about e-business programs as an international business tool for small and medium sized exporters. 5) Assist introducing new clients to the Commercial Service (CS) by telling them about the CS mission, export-assistance services, the availability of export counseling, and the consulting services of trade specialists. 6) Ability to assess client?s immediate needs and provides counseling, as appropriate. 7) Provide client support to staff Interested parties can request a copy of the Request for Quotation. This support service is being procured under the guidelines of FAR Part 12, Commercial Items Procedures.
