Description

Arapaho/Roosevelt National Forest, Clear Creek Ranger District. Evergreen 1 Fuels Reduction. Service Contract with Biomass Removal. Approx. 135 acres will be treated with a combination of Biomass Thinning, Slash Treatment, Road Maintenance, and Subsoiling. Approx. 101 acres are thinning, and 34 acres are patch cuts of dense small trees. Sawtimber volume of 186 CCF(hundred cubic feet) shall be purchased and removed. Products Other than Logs (POL) volume will be negotiable. Estimated start work date is January 3, 2007 with 700 calendar days of contract time. PRE-PROPOSAL SITE VISIT: This meeting will be held at 10:30 A.M., Friday, October 27, 2006. Interested contractors shall meet the Contracting Officer and COR at the Cub Creek Trailhead on the Clear Creek Ranger District. A map is posted on fedbizopps.gov. This meeting is being held in October in order for interested contractors to view the site before snow precludes access to the site. SOLICITATION: It is anticipated that further information regarding this project will be posted on fedbizopps.gov by September 30, 2006. It is anticipated that if the Government proceeds with the project, a full solicitation with complete specifications will be posted on fedbizopps.gov in mid-November.
