- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared IAW the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Price Quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-12 and DFARs Change Notice (DCN) 20060814. Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code is 3423, FSC Code is 5130 and the size standard is 500 employees. NAICS is 332212. Simplified Acquisition Procedures -- award for a proposed contract not exceeding $100,000-- will be followed in accordance with FAR 13.5. The commercial items to be acquired are 2 ea BDAR Kits- Part Number MCH-100-An electric heat gun used for shrink wrapping, shrink & solder sleeves, plastic welding, tent and tarp repairs, repairs to vehicle soft tops, repair of inflatable structures, flotation devices and inflatable boats as well as for wire harness repairs on aircraft and electronic repairs requiring soldering and de-soldering. Additionally, EAFB is acquiring 4 ea U Nihm Battery-Part Number BB-390B; 2 ea 112.027 35x20 Reflector - Part Number Reflector; 4 ea 300 Wt Element- Part Number 003HO.67N; 2 ea 5mm Round Nozzle-Part Number 112.025 and freight charge, if any. MCH-100-A is a lightweight portable, rechargeable battery powered heat gun designed for use in harsh environments and remote locations. This tool meets or exceeds the requirements of MIL-STD 461 specifications for radiated emissions. This tool has been tested to MIL-STD 810 F (511.4), and is approved for use in fueled aircraft and equipment. HEAT GUN KIT SPECS Heat guns must be certified to be used on fueled aircraft and pass Mil-Std-810 F (511.4) explosive atmosphere test for N-Hexane and JP-5 Aviation Fuel Heat guns must be able to be battery operated (48 volts DC) using Nickel Metal Hydride batteries Must be able to be used without external power or compressed air Battery charger must be able to use 115VAC Hot air gun must heat up to at least 1000 degrees F The unit must be able to operate a soldering iron The unit must have several hot air attachments available to heat various sized solder ferrules, heat shrink tubing and shrinkable boots The unit must have a travel case that can house the heat gun and charger for field deployment Must be built rugged for heavy duty use Must provide 2.66 CFM air flow Must meet Military Standards for drop, rain intrusion, EMI 461 and 235, and explosion Must be able to recharge a set of batteries in 2 hours Interested parties who believe they can meet all the requirements for the heat gun kit and accessories described in this synopsis are invited to submit in writing complete information describing their ability to provide the required equipment. Offerors are required to submit with their quote enough information for the Government to evaluate the minimum requirements detailed in this synopsis.
