Description
The Special Communications Requirements Division of of the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, St. Inigoes, MD has a requirement for the procurement of a Rapidly Deployable, Frequency Agile 50 Meter AM Antenna Mast and related components and testing. The government intends to procure the material and services on a sole source basis from Kintronic Laboratories, Inc. 144 Pleasant Grove Road, Bluff City, TN 37618-1723. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is FAR 6.302-1 Only One Responsible Source and No other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements, as implemented by Title 10, U.S.C. 2304c (1). Kintronic is the only company that can provide the required antenna system equipment and testing that is 100% compatible with the previously fielded broadcasting architecture . The following equipment and services are required for this antenna system: CLIN 0001 Rapidly Deployable, Frequency Agile AM Antenna Consisting of 50 Meter Mast- P/N STM-AMAB-10K-1 each; CLIN 0002 Custom, Sectionalized, 2.5KW Rated Antenna Tuning Unit-1 each; CLIN 0003 Factory Testing of Antenna System-1 each; CLIN 0004 Delta Electronics RG-4B Receiver/Generator and OIB-3 Operating Impedance Bridge For Tuning the Antenna Tuning Unit-1 each; CLIN 0005 Custom Model DL-5-LCF Militarized 5 kw AM Dummy Load with Rain Hood-P/N LD-5-LCF-1 each; Custom Model-P/N PP-78-3RM-LCF 3 Port Patch Panel-1 each; Custom 7/8? Rigid Line U-Link-1 each. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) code for this requirement is 334220 with a size standard of 750. Award is expected to be 30 October 2006. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS; however, responsible interested parties may submit information in which they can identify interest and capability to respond to this requirement. The Government will consider all responses received by 3:30 PM EST on 22 September 2006. Note 22 applies. The Government will not pay for any information received.
