Description

The US Postal Service is seeking suppliers with the ability to provide products and services associated with the Lease and service support of a Contract Postal Unit (CPU)Mailing Systems per USPS Statement of Work, "Mailing Systems for Contract Postal Units". The purpose of this plan is to provide added convenience to USPS customers while lowering operating costs and generating incremental revenue. The supplier must be able to perform all the services using its own resources or through subcontracting arrangment to present a complete solution. The USPS encourages the use of partnering or subcontracting arrangements given performance accountability, quality and specific value-added contributions can be assured. Supplier shall provide a mailing system fully integrated with all components elecronically linked to operate as a unit providing a method of facilitating postal product sales, accessing all mailing options, services and fees and completing a mailing transaction from mail piece acceptance by the operator, weighing, and rating, tracking payment amount and type, printing indicia and providing a receipt. Only suppliers who wish to be a prime contractor, capable of offering a complete solution need respond to this announcement.
