Description
FA6703-06-Q-0047. Dobbins Air Reserve Base (DARB)(Marietta), Georgia intends to contract on a sole source basis with Ten-8 Fire Equipment Incorporated, an authorized dealer/representative of Pierce Manufacturing, for the non-personal services of performing the following modifications to the Pierce Manufacturing, Inc. Model P-30 Medium Rescue Vehicle, item number A-A-59152, procured under DLA Contract Number SP0500-98-D-0081 and follow on contract SP0500-01-D-0062. Any other offerors should notify this office of their intention to submit a quote for this work no later than 20 September 2006. Basic Specifications for P-30 Fire Rescue Vehicle Modifications: 1. Add two toolboxes with lids to be recessed into the extended front bumper. Boxes shall have principle dimensions of 18 inches wide by 10 inches tall. Lids to be rear hinged. Install customer supplied Federal Q-siren into extended bumper. 2. The 8-bottle storage unit located in compartment P3 is to be relocated to the base of compartment D3. Fabricate and install a slide-out tool board approximately 24 inches deep by 46 inches tall overall, mounted directly above the bottle storage unit. 3. Compartment D2/P2 is a full transverse compartment. Fabricate and install a 3/16 inch aluminum bulkhead, full height, mount laterally across body to divide it equally into a front and back compartment. Fabricate and install 8 slide-out/drop-down trays with brackets. These will locate 4 each side (two over two) with the trays just short of half transverse depth. 4. Compartment D1/P1 is full transverse. Fabricate and install two slide-out/drop-down trays, one each side. Trays will mount to existing track and each will be just short of half the transverse depth. Alter existing full width two-way utility roller drawer by cutting at center point to divide into two equal sized drawers. Alter drawer stops on roller tracks so drawers will not slide in beyond center point. 5. Compartment P3. Fabricate and install 2 slide-out/drop-down trays, mounted to existing track; tray depth to be approximately 56 inches. Take one of the existing 62 inch deep trays and cut down to 56 inches in length and fasten to existing tracks in the uppermost position. 6. Fabricate and install 2 underbody, pullout tray style compartments to mount ahead of the rear axle, one each side, these will mount directly under compartments D3 and P3. Width should match body compartment; approximately 42 inches. Height of tray should be approximately 8 inches. Exterior surface shall be four-way diamond plate aluminum secured by a ?D? ring latch. 7. Fabricate and install a transverse compartment under rear of body behind axle. Exterior surface shall be painted to match body), with bottom hinged door on each end. Approximate dimensions are to be the width of useable space behind axle to rear bumper by 16 inches tall by 96 inches long. 8. Move existing cord-reel and air-reel for rescue extrication tools above compartment P-1 to compartment D1. Add 4-way capture rollers, electrical switches, and other materials associated with relocation. 9. Mount 2 hose-reels for hydraulic rescue extrication tools above compartment P1. Capacity is to be 100ft. Each reel shall have an electric rewind option with switches conveniently located. Customer will contact local Hurst representative for purchase and installation of hydraulic hose to connect power unit to reels and connecting the reels to tools. 10. Mount and wire into vehicle electrical power, four customer-supplied 12 VDC hand light chargers. Location will be determined by customer. 11. Fabricate and install ? inch aluminum medical equipment cabinet in crew cab. The cabinet will be approximately 36 inches tall by 20 inches deep by 18 inches wide. Cabinet will have two shelves permanently installed to divide the height of the cabinet into three compartments. Lower shelf will be fixed 16 inches above the floor of the cabinet, with the upper shelf dividing the remaining upper space into two sections approximately 10 inches tall. A roll-up door will be used to enclose the cabinet. 12. Furnish and install two 110volt 3 prong outlets, mounted one each side of medical equipment cabinet. Power is to be wired into existing shoreline, and labeled ?Shore Power?. 13. Fabricate and install a two section book cabinet on the floor of cab between the front seats. Cabinet is to be made of 1/8 inch aluminum with dimensions of 26 inches tall by 18 inches wide by 20 inches deep. The height of cabinet will be divided into two equal sections by one permanently attached shelf located at 13 inches of the 26 inch height. Opening is to face rear seats with a cargo net enclosure. 14. Mount two coat hooks, one each side behind front cab seats. 15. Mount customer supplied Hurst power unit in P3 compartment. Source of Hurst power is to be determined (gasoline, diesel, electric). Diesel or electric units would require fuel lines or connection to onboard generator system. Diesel or gasoline units would require 12 volt power for the engine starter. 16. Conveniently locate and install mounting brackets for customers Hurst brand cutter, spreader, and ram on tray in compartment P1. 17. Mount additional customer supplied brackets in locations yet to be specified. Any prospective offeror must be registered in the DOD Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to submission of a quote to qualify for any resultant DOD contract.
