- SOLE SOURCE NOTICE: The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source (SECURUS) under the authority of FAR 13.106. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received by 0800 MST Tuesday, 19 Sep 06 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally by considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Sole Source is based upon this vendor being the only manufacturer/vendor able to satisfy this requirement: This requirement is for non-personal services to relocate existing Spacesaver Mechanical Assist Mobile Storage System from the second floor of the Federal Building, 1520 Willamette Avenue, Colorado Springs, CO to Room 101 Building 1470, Peterson AFB, CO and installation of additional compatible Spacesaver Mechanical Assist Mobile Storage System to be joined to the system being relocated. The shelving will be added to existing Spacesaver mobile shelving and requires identical/compatible shelving units to expand storage capabilities. The sole source vendor is the vendor that installed the original Spacesaver equipment in the Federal Building. This company designed the system and is the only company knowledgeable of installation and familiar with the components that make up this storage system. The complexity of the Spacesaver shelving system requires in-depth familiarization with the system to successfully move and reinstall the equipment.
