Description
This is a Combined Synopsis/Solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes ar e being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number W9127Q-06-T-0078 is issued as a Request for Quote. The solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 01-15. Th is solicitation is unrestricted. NAICS for determination of size status is 333319 Small Business Standard is 500employees. This solicitation is for Brand Name or Equal. Modular Penetrant Application and Inspection System consisting of individual modules to permit the processing of parts or baskets of parts up to 18. The filtration system will be used to filter out suspended solids, remove dissolved organics in water, as well as liquid penetrant emulsifiers and oils. The system shall process up to 5 GPM . The complete system shall consists of an effluent water sump tank and an Ozone generator, an automated sump control circuit, a sump pump, two self-contained replaceable filter drums. The filtration portion of the system shall be a carbon media type. T he complete system shall consist of two replaceable filter drums, pumps, and reinforced hoses and control circuit. The effluent sump tank and sump pump is required to be mounted on a skid. An effluent water sump tank shall be supplied in back of the wash station and it will be the Governments responsibility to process the effluent from the wash stations to the sump tank. The tank shall be fitted with a low level float valve to maintain a minimum water level. The holding tank shall be fitted with an Ozo ne generator to control bacteria growth. The filter drums shall be 55-gallon carbon canisters, and contain a low flow water treatment element found in full-scale adsorption systems. Organic materials are required to be trapped and attracted to the surfac e of the pores of the activated carbon. Entrapping and holding organic molecules shall be accomplished by the activated carbons great porosity. The filter drums shall be operated in a downflow mode and provide an output of approximately 5GPM and shall b e controlled by the Off/On switch which shall be activated during the operating shift. System shall be provided with a 1/3 HP, 3450 RPM, 115/60 Hz/1 phase self-priming, centrifugal chemical transfer sump pump. A sump tank shall be provided and fitted wit h an Ozone generator to control bacteria growth. It shall be fitted with automated sump controls, consisting of float switches, ball valves, pressure regulator, etc. System shall be supplied with two self-contained filter drums complete with pressure gau ges and filtration media, sealed ready to use. System shall be fitted with flexible braid hose complete with a quick connect couplings for easy removal and assembly of the system. System shall be supplied with a drum sampling valve assembly mounted at th e output end of each drum. System shall use a 110VAC Single phase.
