Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for purchase of one gooseneck sytle trailer in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 and supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number uis #65390. The solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-19. This procurement is a small business set-aside. The NAICS Code applicable to this RFQ is 441229. The small business size standard is 500 employees. Item Description: Gooseneck style trailer. Salient characteristics: Minimum requirements are 18-20 GVW; gooseneck style hitch. Deck needs to be at least 18 fee, total trailer length not to exceed 26 feel. Requires 4 to 5 foot beavertail end. Includes appropriate hitch. Unit shall be delivered no later than 31 October 2006 to Shasta-Trinity National Forest, 3644 Avtech Parkway Redding, CA . Contractor will coordinate delivery with Tony Martinez (530) 226-2776. Acceptance shall be made at destination. The provision at Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors--Commercial Items (Oct 2000) applies to this acquisition. Offerors are required to complete and include a copy of the following provisions: FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items (Jan 2001). FAR Provision 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions?Commercial Items (May 1999) and 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders--Commercial Items (MAY 1999), apply to this acquisition. Further, descriptive literature that fails to show that the proposed product(s) complies with the requirements stated above will result in the rejection of that product(s). EVALUATION INFORMATION: The Government will award a single contract to the responsible offeror whose offer is the most advantageous to the Government considering price and related factors. Provision 52.212-2, Evaluation Commercial Items, applies to any contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose quote conforms to the solicitation and will be most advantageous to the Government.
