Description

This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract for service under the authority of AMS 3.2.1.3.8 "Single Source Approval" and TSA MD300.4 "Competition and Single Source Acquisitions" to Microsoft Corporation, 8050 Microsoft Way, Charlotte, NC 28273. The sole source requirement is for Microsoft Premier Support for a one-year base period with four (4) subsequent options years providing up to 200 hours dedicated Microsoft service resource time and problem resolution support for up to fifteen (15) incidents annually; one (1) Technical Account Manager (TAM) on-site visit annually; a single Microsoft TechNet Plus server subscription; and a single Visio Studio 2005 Professional Edition with Microsoft Developer Network (MSDN) Premium subscription. The organizational element's entire electronic mail (email) and operating system (OS) infrastructure is based on the Microsoft suite of products. No other vendors have the unique access to, expertise and experience with Microsoft products and source code, access to corporate resources, and awareness of critical operational problems/issues/alerts, which is critical to minimize and prevent information system downtime and failures that impact the mission. This notice of intent is NOT a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for competitive quotes. Capabilities / qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination not to compete this proposed procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
