Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), National Cemetery Administration, is soliciting bids under Solicitation number VA-786A-06-IB-0081 for the following: : Contractor shall provide construction services for development of new burial areas on 23 acres acquired from the Rock Island Army Arsenal, to include full-casket gravesites in pre-placed crypts, development of columbaria niches, Millennium Study repairs, and supporting infrastructure such as road and utilities. Quantities will be sufficient to support a ten-year projection of burial needs. Renovations and expansion of the administration and maintenance facility of a new public restroom, a new committal shelter, road repairs, drainage corrections, and water distribution system will be provided. New boundary fencing will be installed in coordination with existing boundary walls. The magnitude of this project is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. NAICS code is 237990. The Size Standard is $31.0 Million. Performance period is approximately 556 calendar days from date of receipt of Notice to Proceed. This is a competitive 8(a) set-aside restricted to 8(a) firms having a bona fide place of business located within the geographic boundaries of the SBA Illinois District Office. OBTAINING SOLICITATION MATERIAL: Electronic solicitations are not available. Requests for hard copy drawings and specifications shall be in writing to: Missman Stanley and Associates P.C., Attention: Ms. Cindy K. Wermuth, Project Coordinator, 1011 27th Avenue, Rock Island, IL 61201. Bidders will be charged a $100.00 non-refundable fee for each set of drawings and specs. Fee must be in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or money order made payable to "MISSMAN STANLEY AND ASSOCIATES P.C." and must accompany the written application. All requests shall be on company letterhead to include point of contact, physical mailing address, phone number, fax number, e-mail address.  No telephone requests will be accepted. Individual copies of the Bidder's mailing list WILL NOT be prepared nor distributed by the Contracting Officer. SOLICITATION AMENDMENTS: Amendments to the solicitation will be posted at http:www.fedbizopps.gov/. Paper copies of the amendments will NOT be individually mailed.
