Description
The New Mexico Veterans Affairs Health Care System (NMVAHCS), located in Albuquerque, New Mexico, intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Integrated Controls, 3204 Candelaria NE, Albuquerque, NM on behalf of the VA Cooperative Studies Program Clinical Research Pharmacy Coordinating Center (VA CSPCRPCC) to provide maintenance, testing, repqir and upgrades of on-site alarm, security, access control and fire protection systems. The term of the contract will be for a Base Year, plus 1 one-year option for renewal. All of these systems are integrated into one comprehensive system. The output from the security, fire alarm system etc are all channeled to a single graphic display. The contractor must have the knowledge and experience of each of the described systems. The contractor must have the ability to change the program (software) that controls the video and alarms so that the integrated system provides these services. The system is not off the shelf and has to be programmed and the contractor must be able to provide data extracts from the database to allow the customer to meet regulatory and advisory requirements. One contractor is required to provide support to all of these systems as they are integrated in a single touch screen computer console located at the security desk. Only one company in New Mexico has the proprietary capability of managing the integration, graphic interface and proprietary software rights - Integrated Controls. Additionally, the contractor must be in close proximity to the center to allow for immediate resolution of problems, update software, etc. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. NO SOLICITATION DOCUMENT IS AVAILABLE AND TELEPHONE REQUESTS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. However, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Office within 10 calendar days from the date of publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability and qualifications of the firm to provide these services. If no responses are received, the NMVAHCS will proceed with the sole source negotiation with Rees Scientific. NAICS Code: 811219, Size Standard is $6.5 million.
