Functionality: CISCO 9216is with SSM 32 Port Module, CX3-80 w/30 TB Usable, CENTERA: This equipment is to be added to an existing Storage Area Network Infrastructure to increase the current storage capability. This equipment components listed compris e a total system. b. Hardware: Exact specifications must be maintained for exact replication of the existing infrastructure at the COOP facility. No substitution is acceptable. Data Replication cannot be accomplished with multiple vendor solutions. The DMX and CX equipm ent, coupled with the CISCO equipment that is already in place at the command facility, comprise a total storage solution. Only EMC provides the proprietary technology to incorporate SD RF into the existing infrastructure. c. Maintenance: 24/7 maintenance service with a 4-hour on-site technical response is required. Locations: Ft. Belvoir, VA and Ft. Huachuca, AZ. This critical service is necessary to provide recovery from system outages as well as equipment failure. Ma intenance for the additional equipment is covered under an existing lease with EMC Corporation (EMC). Procurement of a different brand named item would require the procurement of additional maintenance. d. Compatibility: The existing Storage Area Network Infrastructure was established using EMC equipment. Using EMC's SDRF technology to mirror between sites requires placing Symmetrix controllers at both ends, and making connections via proprietary equipment. The SDRF technology offered by EMC was chosen because it is proven to be the most secure form of data replication in the industry. Components added to the existing infrastructure must support the proprietary SDRF technology, and be mirrored at the base site as well as the COOP site. This requirement is 100% set-aside for 8(a) certified Small Businesses. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 334112 and is associated with the small business size standard of 1,000 employees.
