Description

SUBJECT: NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOUCE PROCUREMENT DESC: Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, it is the Governments intent to award a sole source to Biolog Incorporated for purchase, training an warranty of a OmniLog II Combo System Upgrad e with computer, printer, incubator, OL System Software configured for automated incubation and identification of aerobic bacteria and Phenotype MicroArray panels. This system must be purchased from Biolog Incorporated since no other microbiological ident ification system uses Biolog, Inc. patented carbon-source utiliztion technology. This is not a formal solicitation. This synopsis is not considered a Request for Quotation or Proposal. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will no t be honored. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. If no affirmative written response is received, the purchase will be awarded without further notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
