- The Navy requires AN/SSQ-101 sonobuoys, whose primary purpose is to detect acoustic emissions or reflections from potentially hostile submarines and transmit these signals to U.S. Navy airborne antisubmarine warfare forces. Stepladder quantities of 1,000, 2,000, 2,500, 3,000, 5,000 and 10,000 will be solicited on other than full and open competition basis with ERAPSCO, Inc., 4578 East Park 30 Drive, Columbia IN 46725-8869 in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-3(a)(2)(i), ?industrial mobilization.? The sonobuoys shall be manufactured in accordance with a Production Sonobuoy Specification, and the offeror must be a qualified manufacturer prior to contract award. This announcement is being issued for possible subcontracting opportunities. Numbered Notes 13 and 26 apply. Lot sizes will be determined at time of award with delivery to be determined based on award quantity. For less than 3000 units, the first lot shall be delivered no later than 540 days (18 months) after date of contract, and the last lot shall be delivered no later than 720 days (24 months) after date of contract. For 3000 or greater units, the first lot shall be delivered no later than 540 days (18 months) after date of contract, and the last Lot shall be delivered no later than 900 days (30 months) after date of contract. Delivery will be F.o.B. origin with destinations determined at time of lot acceptance. All responsible sources may submit an offer that will be considered.
