Description
The Strategic Systems Programs intends to contract with The Boeing Company, BCM3 & Strategic Systems, Anaheim, CA to provide the following efforts for the TRIDENT Navigation Subsystem: (1) Fiber Optic Gyro (FOG) Proof of Capability (POC) procurement, (2) Fiber Optic Gyro Navigator (FOGN) Test System Design, (3) POC FOG Build and Test, (4) FOG Test Equipment Design and Build, (5) POC Gyro Testing and FOGN Engineering Development Model (EDM) Design. The contract contains an option for FY08. As the design agent, Boeing is the only known source with the requisite design background, system knowledge, test facilities, special tooling, and operational experience relative to the TRIDENT Navigation Subsystems SWS Inertial Equipment Systems capable of providing the required supplies and services.
