Description

The contractor is to provide materials and labor for a chiller replacement at the US Courthouse, 101 1st Street S.E., in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The work will include the removal of an existing 60 ton chiller and the subsequent replacement to include new pumps and refrigerant evacuation system as shown in the plans and specs that will be sent with the solicitation packet. The contractor is to provide all materials, labor, equipment, tools, management and supervision as required and needed for the completion of this project. The project is to be completed no later than March 1, 2007. The contractor has 90 days to complete the project after receiving the Notice to Proceed. Estimated cost is $50,000 to $90,000. The contractor will be required to obtain a GSA security clearance for all individuals working on site. Bid packages will be mailed to interested parties after that date and will be sent on a disc unless a hard copy is requested. THIS REQUEST FOR SOLICITATION DOES NOT OBLIGATE THE GOVERNMENT TO MAKE AN AWARD. According to FAR 4.11, ALL contractors MUST be registered with Central Contractor Registration [CCR] at www.ccr.gov. All contractors must also be registered with Online Representations and Certification [ORCA] at https://orca.bpn.gov/, before having their bid evaluated.
