- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and written solicitations will not be issued. This requisition F2S3CE6240A100 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-12 (dated 4 Aug 06). This acquisition is set aside 100% for small business; NAICS: 324121. Quotes are to be received by this office NLT 1600hrs CST on 26 Sept 2006. Quotes can be faxed or e-mailed to the points of contact listed on this notice. This combined synopsis/solicitation is for Asphalt - CLIN0001- Asphalt o Asphalt will be delivered to various job sites for standard paving operations and placed into the hopper of the paving machine, weather permitting. On occasion, the equipment shop will need to be able to pick up smaller quantities of asphalt (with their own trucks). Delivery trucks should be spaced 30 minutes apart when delivering. When asphalt is delivered, it will need to be at a workable temperature to be placed in the paving machine. The government will give a minimum of 2-days notice for ordering, with confirmation on the day of delivery. The government will give a 1-week notice for larger jobs. For most jobs, we would like to use Type 2 or Type 3, but can use super pave mix, if necessary.
