- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and a quote is being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is an intention to Sole Source. The solicitation document and incorporate provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-09 (19 Apr 2006) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement change notice 20060412. It is the offeror?s responsibility to be familiar with applicable clauses and provisions. This acquisition is for the purchase of the following items: (a) Fast Protein Liquid Chromatograph ? AKTAPURIFIER UPC 10, Product No. 28406268 (b) FRAC-920 Fraction Collector, Product No. 18117740 (c) Flow Diversion Valve SV-923, Product No. 11001170 (d) AKTA User Kit, Product No. 18115424 The NAICS Code is 334516; size standard is 500 employees. The type of contract anticipated is firm-fixed price. This procurement is to be processed using Simplified Acquisition Procedures in conjunction with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and is not expected to exceed the Simplified Acquisition threshold of $100,000.
