- The Space and Naval Warfare, Service Center San Diego Ca (SSC-SD) Office requests responses from qualified sources capable of providing: On-Site Corrective & Preventative Maintenance for small boat craft and motors in the Kings Bay Ga area. The U.S. Navy maintains a collection of marine mammals that are used for fleet programs and research and development projects. The Biosciences Division Code 235, SSC-SD is responsible for and tasked with daily management of the U.S. Navys marine mammals. In this capacity, a requirement exists for operation and depot level maintenance upkeep and repair (MUR) of its government owned small boat craft. Approximately six (6) boats and eleven (11) motors are required to meet the needs of the Navys Marine Mammal Program in Kings Bay, GA. for which this contract is to support. Operational dependability is a high priority and a performance work statement has been developed to provide these necessary services. This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS / SOLICITATION for commercial services prepared in accordance with the information in FAR Subpart 12.6, using simplified acquisition procedures for commercial items found at FAR 13 as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. This combined synopsis/solicitation shall be posted on FEDBIZOPS and the SSC-SD E- Commerce business site at: https://e- commerce.spawar.navy.mil/command/02/acq/navhome.nsf/homepage? readform (All one line) The RFP number is N69078-06-R-0101. The NAICS code is 811490- Motor Boat Repair and Maintenance services. The Standard is $6,500,000. This is a total small business competitive action. The government intends to award a single award with a period of performance for the first option period of 36 months from the date of award, and 2 option periods consisting of 12 months each for a total period of performance of 60 months. This solicitation document incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through FAR and DFARS. It is the contractors responsibility to be familiar with the applicable clauses and provisions. Lack of registration in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database will make an offeror ineligible for award.
