Description

The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) intends to issue a sole-source award that will result in a bridge contract to Occupational Health Strategies, for a six-month base period and two (2) three-month option periods, beginning October 1, 2006 and not to exceed September 30, 2007, for the health and wellness services in order to support Federal Executive Institute (FEI) programs in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Commercial Items. The authority for the sole source is 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1); FAR 6.302-1. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements in the time-frame required. This requirement will be awarded to small business. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS)Code for this requirement is 611430. The size threshold for determining whether or not an offeror is a small is a company with gross annual sales not exceeding $6.5 million. The Contractor is required to provide wellness assessments, lectures, classes and individual assistance of the following types: administration, and interpretation of Health Risk Appraisal (HRA) instruments; wellness workshops, one-on-one counseling where needed; staffing of the FEI fitness center, and other-related services. THE PURPOSE OF THIS NOTICE IS TO SATISFY THE REQUIREMENTS OF FAR SUBPART 5.2. THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT. Therefore, no solicitation document is available. OPM intends to issue a competitive procurement for this requirement in the near future (during the first quarter of fiscal year 2007). Interested sources should ensure that they are registered on the Federal Business Opportunities website under the applicable NAICS code to receive notification when the Request for Proposal is issued.
