Description

The proposed contract is being offered for competition limited to 100% set-aside for Small Business Concerns. The contractor shall provide Cold Weather Survival Training at various locations in Southeastern Alaska. The Contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, transportation, training aids and training materials, except for Government-furnished, for Cold Weather Survival Training. Award will be made on best value to the Government. The period of performance will be from 01 October 2001 through 30 September 2002. There will be four (4) one-year option periods; if all options are exercised the contract term will end on 30 September 2006. The solicitation will be posted on the Electronic Posting System on or about 13 July 2001. Firms can access this system at www.eps.gov. The SIC code for this procurement is 8299 and the NAICS Code is 611699. The size standard is no more than $5 Million. The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) has a program to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation related contracts. Loans are available under the DDOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates up to $500,000.00.
