Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and a quote is being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The reference number for this acquisition is F1J5AF6221A100. The solicitation document and incorporate provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-12 (4 Aug 2006) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement change notice 20060814. It is the Offeror's responsibility to be familiar with applicable clauses and provisions. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this acquisition is 423410 with a small business size standard: 100 Employees. Please identify whether or not you are a small or large business based upon this NAICS. The following acquisition will be a small business set aside, Numbered Note 1 applies. This commercial acquisition is for Contract Line Item Number (CLIN) 0001; Installation and upgrade of equipment. Please email Mr. Steven Allee at the below for a copy of the Statement of Objectives (SOO) and associated Equipment List. Due to the nature of this acquisition the Government intends to make this a best value decision. The type of contract anticipated is firm-fixed price. The period of performance (PoP) for this acquisition is to commence Not Later Than 29 September 2006 and the duration of the PoP denoted within the Offeror's Quote. The majority of services provided to USAFSAM, at the following locations: buildings: 820, 160, and 775, 2601 W. Louis Bauer, Brooks City-Base, TX 78235, FOB destination. The following FAR and DFAR Clauses apply to this combined synopsis/solicitation and any subsequent award: 52.212-1 (Jan 2006), Instructions to Offerors Commercial; 52.212-2 (Jan 1999), Evaluation - Commercial Items (Evaluation will be based on technical capability and price); 52.212-3 (Jun 2006), Offeror Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items (Offerors must submit a completed copy with their offer); 52.212-4 (Sep 2005), Contract Terms and Conditions - Commercial Items; 52.212-5 (Aug 2006), Contract Terms and Conditions required to implement statutes of executive Orders - Commercial Items. Please email or call, (210) 536-5774, any questions/comments to Mr. Steven Allee. GOVERNMENT RESPONSE TO INDUSTRY QUESTIONS Q1. Under Performance Objective, the bid requests that we install the "configuration control panel". Is this an AMX touch panel? What kind/size? Answer: The Panel Brand is AMX, is a 16 button key pad panel that have to be in line with the existing installed panels. The purpose is to be able to trouble shoot and monitor our equipment to prevent stoppage of classes due light bulb and malfunction of equipments well as if equipment is move from rooms. Q2. Do you require an AMX controller for each room? Answer: This requirement calls for the install the panels in each room Q3. The Performance Objectives tell us to install 11 projectors but the Government is providing 6 projectors for us to install in six additional classrooms. This appears to be a total of 16 projector installations. Please confirm. Answer: Correct, there are 6 projectors for a total of 16 projectors. Q4. What are the specifications of the projectors you need for the 11 units? Answer: The computer labs require three projectors that are compatible with XGMB65X300 Sharp projectors and the other eight projectors need to be compatible with XGMB50X2500 Sharp projectors.
