Description

The Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System (CAVHS), 4300 West 7th Street, Little Rock, Arkansas intends to negotiate sole-source procurement with Gardner Machinery of Charlotte, NC for the purchase of Electronic Weigh Carts. Gardner Machinery has designs a rail system for the CAVHS. The Weigh Carts Laundry uses are a specific height (designed to work the platform where employees stand on), the top of Weigh Carts has a specific pitch (around 18 degrees where the bag bracket will lay on the top of the cart at the right pitch so the rail lift arm can hook to the bags) and the height of the cart has a second importance which is that the rail arm will not hook to the roller block if the height is not correct. The carts must interface with existing government-owned system. This is commercial item procurement being conducted under FAR Part 12 and 13 for acquisition of commercial supplies. The applicable NAISC code is 333319. The anticipated award date is 9/25/06. This notice of intent is not a request for quotations. No Solicitation will be made available and information received will be considered solely for the purchase of determing whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government to conduct and compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
