- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This acquisition is being conducted in accordance with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in conjunction with FAR Par 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Solicitation # W91QF2-06-T-0014 applies and is used as a Request for Quotation. A written sol icitation is available. This procurement is a 100% small business set-aside. Fort Hamilton Community is seeking large external and internal wayside signs for display for the Museum. The acquisition will be conducted under North American Industry Classifi cation System (NAICS) 541990. The small business size standard is $6.0 M. The SIC code is 8412. A fixed-price contract is anticipated. The contract line items are as follows: 0001: Exhibit Signs, Large external and internal wayside signs for display. To tal of 21 signs. See specifications. 0002: Shipping. Specifications: The project involves the design and production of 21 digital high-pressure laminate signs with high stanchions. The signs will include text, graphics, photos, maps and illustrations. I n addition, fees will also include consultation, design, and original artwork to be supplied by the contractor. Size 36 x 24 , ? inch thick. The stanchions must be powder-coated black. Paint is not acceptable. Design will match standards already develope d by Cornerstone for previous signage produced for the Harbor Defense Museum in an effort to maintain uniformity. A material sample must be sent for final color approvals once design is approved. The screws for the stanchions must also be powder-coated. O ne person must be sole designer on all projects. Delivery is required November 29, 2006.
