- This is not a solicitation, but for planning purposes only. Contracts will not be awarded from this announcement and no reimbursement for costs associated with attendance is anticipated. The Government intends to host a U.S. Army Aerial Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) Industry Day to provide industry and other Government agencies presentations of general information on upcoming initiatives to maintain and upgrade the U .S. Armys presently fielded manned ISR systems: GUARDRAIL/Common Sensor (GR/CS) and Airborne Reconnaissance Low (ARL). The maintenance and modernization initiatives on GR/CS and ARL are intended to insure not only the safety of the airframes as the servic e life is extended, but also the tactical relevance by upgrading the systems sensor suite capabilities. These modernization initiatives on the GR/CS and ARL platforms will potentially be used in the future development of the Aerial Common Sensor capabili ty. The Government will provide information to industry regarding the U.S. Army's vision for the future of its manned airborne ISR system capability: Aerial Common Sensor (ACS). General information will also be made available on the current status of ACS. The Aerial ISR Industry Day briefing is scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on October 31st, at the CERDEC Main Auditorium located in the Myer Center at Ft Monmouth, NJ. http://www.monmouth.army.mil/CRDC/directions.htm A website will be maintained at https://abop.monmouth.army.mil that will provide a preview of the material to be briefed. The material will be placed under Army Pre-Award, CECOM Market Research, under the Title Aerial ISR Industry Day. This material wil l be available o/a 16 October 2006. The Government will consider responding to certain industry questions submitted electronically. Submit your questions NLT COB 25 October 2006. All interested industry vendors are invited to attend; however, due to space restrictions, vendors are asked to limit their number of attendees to not more than 5 people. No one-on-one meetings with Government representatives will be scheduled on Industry Day. A plan for industry to meet with government representatives will be presented at Industry Day. If you are interested in attending Industry Day, please reserve your attendance by providing the following information to Mr. Scott Fernald, email: scott.fernald@us.army.mil by October 26th, 2006: Company Name & Address, Attendee Names & Title of Company R epresentatives. Badges will be prepared in advance to allow quick processing. Plan to arrive on Fort Monmouth at least l hour in advance of the Industry Day Presentation to allow time for processing. To gain access to Fort Monmouth, attendees must report to the Charles Wood Visitor Control Center (Bataan Avenue). Attendees will b e required to produce two government issued photo ID cards to obtain a visitor pass. Rental car contract will also be required. Non-DoD registered POVs must produce the vehicle proof of insurance and current registration. Please periodically consult this website for any updates.
