- Description
- 19 Sep 06 MEMORANDUM FOR RECORD FROM: 420 LRS/LGRVM SUBJECT: BRAND NAME JUSTIFICATION, Spare Parts for Lift King 50K Fork Lift Registration number 96E00065. 1. The following items are needed to put the fork lift back into service ? all part numbers are Lift King reference numbers: A. Seal, PN # 2107379 B. Seal, PN # 2106610 C. Ring seal, PN # 2107024 D. Brake Assembly, PN # 2115860 E. Door Latch Assembly, PN # 705-1082 F. Fan Assembly, PN # 7602891 G. Shackle Chain, PN # 19759 2. This fork lift is manufactured by Lift King and is a specialist vehicle - no other manufacturers make or stock any of the above parts. To the best of my knowledge, only OEM parts are available on the open market. 3. To fit anything other than manufacturers parts to this vehicle could jeopardize the safety of the vehicle and operators. This fork lift is used in the munitions area and is capable of carrying loaded munitions containers - it is important to have a braking system working to manufactures specifications. 4. This fork lift is one of only two assigned to RAF Welford - without this vehicle in service the munitions mission capability is reduced by 50%. 5. We have checked the FEDLOG database. These parts are not readily available through US military supply channels. 6. We can accpet parts from any dealer authorized to sell Lift King products to the general public. 7. I certify as complete and accurate the supporting data and technical requirements stated above. I understand this forms a basis for justification of other than full and open competition IAW 10 USC 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, ?Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements?. //SIGNED// Timothy S.
