Description

The 96 Contracting Squadron, 96 CONS/MSCBA at Eglin AFB, Florida intends to solicit, negotiate, and award a sole source Firm Fixed Price contract under the authority of FAR 6.302 to Visual Instrumentation Corp., 1110 W. Ave L-12, Unit 2, Lancaster, CA 93535 for a HIPI Xenon Illuminator. This is a synopsis for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This notice is issued as FITBBB6257A1. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 335129, with small business standard size of 500 employees. This requirement is for: CLIN 0001, Qty (1) One, Each; S10375, Model 6800A HIPI Xenon Illuminator This is a customized light source with a rugged field-configuration designed to withstand negative pressures of 2.5 lbs./per square inch. Outputs up to 70,000 foot candles at a distance of 50 feet with a circular beam of 24 inches. This light meets mission requirements. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
