- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format prescribed in Subpart 12.6 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the request for quote for the required items under RFQ N00189-06-T-0543. A subsequent solicitation document will not be issued. FISC Norfolk Contracting Department intends to purchase on a brand name or equal basis the following items: (1) 1 each, METACUT, a automatic abrasive cutting machine for cut-off wheels up to 10 inches diameter. Micro-processor control, hydro-pneumatic drive system, adjustable feed rate, adjustable cutting force, pulse cutting mode, LED bar graph overload display, 4HP compact motor, electronic brake system, cutting capacity up to 3.15 inch (80mm) solid stock, Twin-T slotted clamping table made of stainless steel, bottom part as rugged alloy base casting, GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic), protective hood, 16 gallon (60 liters) re-circulating cooling unit with connection hoses and ready for operation.
