- Modification to Solicitation VA-541-06-RP-0119 Modification Number: 0001 This modification consists of a change to the PC requirements stated in the combined synopsis as well as the number of workstations requested. The modification also consists of technical questions and answers concerning the requirements. All solicitors should head the answers to these questions as they may clarify parts of the requirement. PC Requirement Change: The PCs requested for the workstations as stated in the combined synopsis solicitation must be an "all in one touch screen" that is brand name or equal to the Intermec CV60. Number of Work Stations request: The number of requested workstations has been changed from the originally requested three (3) work stations with 2 optional stations to the new requirement of four (4) work stations with the 2 optional stations. Addition to the Statement of Work: The Tracking System must be expandable. In the event that more instruments, workstations, etc. are needed, the system must have the ability to accommodate the increase. Technical Questions/Answers SPD Tracking System: Solicitation VA-541-06-RP-0119 Q1. As for the marking and Identification, do you also want your database populated in addition to marking the products? A1. Yes   Q2. How do you plan on continuing to mark product after initial implementation? (Labels allow you to do this on your own, while etching does not.) A2. Any mark that is placed on the instrument must remain on the instrument and be readable during the useful life of the instrument. Any mark/barcode/label that is placed or etched on the instrument must be done initially by the contractor. Then any services to add additional equipment in the future will be handled by a separate future procurement. Q3. Concerning Workstations, will you be providing workstations? A3. No, Workstations will be provided by contractor Q4. Do you want touch screen monitors? A4. Yes Q5. Will you be providing the networking of these stations? A5. No Q6. Do you want Standard PCs or industrial computers? A6. All in one touch screen computer that is brand name or equal to Intermec CV60. Q7. Who will install the computers? A7. The contractor Q8. Who will run the network cable? A8. The contractor Q9. Is wireless available or an option? A9. No, wireless frequencies may interfere with hospital telemetry procedures. Q10. Do you have PC requirements? A10. Refer to question and answer 6. Q11. Who will be providing the server to host the software, networking, etc? A11. The contractor Q12. Have you considered mobile devices, if so, how many? A12. No, not at this time. Q13. Is there a spare equipment requirement? A13.
