- The U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center is looking to identify responsible sources that possess the necessary equipment to properly repair the CEXH-RF755A HF Transmitter, manufactured by Harris Corporation. This is a Request for Information ONLY and no proposals are being requested at this time. This equipment is critical and is no longer manufactured or available which has resulted in parts obsolescence and an increased need to assure the highest levels of quality assurance to ensure a functioning system with 100% reliability. Harris Corporation owns all proprietary documentation and are the only source for this equipment that has the required capabilities, documentation, and fully operational systems to operate, maintain, and repair this equipment. NOTE: NO DRAWINGS, SPECIFICATIONS OR SCHEMATICS ARE AVAILABLE FROM THIS AGENCY!! Interested sources that respond to this notice must fully demonstrate their expertise and capability to meet the following requirements: 1. Ability to accomplish the necessary repairs (i.e., component repair procedures for this specific equipment, test fixtures to operate, test, and repair); and 2. Evidence as an authorized repair facility for Harris Corporation OR 3. Evidence of possession of a fully operational mock up system of the RF755A HF Transmitter. This information is due within 10 days from the date of this announcement and shall be submitted via e-mail or fax notice to Ms. Harwood at Florence.m.harwood@uscg.mil or Fax (410)762-6640. The Government does not intend to pay for the information solicited. It is the Coast Guard ELC?s intention to advertise a solicitation for requirements within 30 days of this notice.
