The system required to meet FCC Butner's need is a system that is fully compatible with the Varian Eclipse system utilized at the Federal Medical Center. The Scanditronix System is the only known windows based system on the market today. The Scanditronix System allows the operator full control of the data compiled and easy manipulation of data for file naming, cutting and pasting data from one document to another, and exporting to a wide variety of other report generating programs and spreadsheets. Utilizing this system will aid in maintaining and improving overall patient care by enabling more proficiency in performing the equipment quality insurance inspections. This also in turn helps improve patient care by enabling the physicists to develop more effective reports for data trending and analysis and reducing the possibility of errors. This is also the only known system compatible with all standard personnel computers which eliminates the need for more expensive computers and operating systems. This compatibility helps to reduce costly down time associated with the need to repair specialized computers and equipment.
